Once again I went to London to find an appropriate bridge to film on. I crossed several bridges until I came across a walk way over the Thames, opposite embankment station, just before waterloo bridge. It had the view of the London Eye, Big Ben and the rest of London City. It seems like the perfect mise-en-scene to use not only due to how convenient the path is in itself, but also because it gives a clear view of London.
The view above is a primary source picture which I took at the location demonstrated by the map below.
The location shows two major key monuments such as the Big Ben and London Eye which are both famous all over the world. By filming here we would be "killing two birds with one stone", the single location instantly provides a strong sense of where the artist has been born and bread and by using shots of suburban streets we represent how made it from one side of London, to the other.
The railings along side the walk way are easy to film along and manoeuvre the camera over; also it is perfect for a shot of Sam leaning over looking out to the view of London as we have planned in our pre-production.
Although, by only closely observing one set of railings I feel as though it limits ourselves. I looked at another location with railings (close to the the walk way) where the view of london is still clear and people use to lounge about. We could have a few shots of Sam singing lyrics whilst sitting in front of the rails connoting he is no different to anyone else in the world.
For the narrative I found this grassy spot near the tower bridge which has a beautiful view of the Gherkin. Unfortunately, because it was dark, it was difficult to see it and the pictures I took with my low quality camera constantly came out blurry, however I did manage to get shots of the tower bridge lit up, which would be the view between the couple in our narrative story. At one point there will be a shot of Sam Coleman sitting in between the couple as if he were invisible to them whilst they have a moment of dramatic tension.
